How do I bulk move DIDs from one domain to another? 1. On the administrator’s portal, navigate to Dial Planning -> Dial Translations 2. At the bottom of the list of Dial Translations, click on Export: 3. Leave the domain as * and click the radio button for Rules, then Select Domain: 4. On the following screen (also called Dial Translation) select DID Table from the dropdown list and click Start Export. This will export ALL DIDs for ALL domains: This will create a CSV file with all DIDs: 5. Delete any DIDs that you do NOT want to move. This can be done in Excel. 6. Save the file as a CSV named OldDIDs.csv. 7. Save the file again as a CSV named NewDIDs.csv. (At this point, you have two identical files with different file names. 8. Change the “to_host” field for the DIDs to the new domain name. 9. Resave the file as a CSV (named NewDIDs.csv). You should have two CSV files, OldDIDs.csv (DIDs pointed at the old domain) and NewDIDs.csv (DIDs pointed at the new domain). You are going to OldDIDs.csv to delete the existing DIDs and NewDIDs.csv to reenter them in the new domain. IMPORTANT: At this point, open the files in a plain text program (Notepad or WordPad, NOT Excel) to make sure that Excel did not reformat the data. The entries should be regular text divided by commas - note the comma between each value: . The file should NOT look like this: 10. Navigate back to Dial Planning -> Dial Translations . 11. At the bottom of the list of Dial Translations, click on Import: 12. Choose the file OldDIDs.csv, click the Yes radio button for Purge and the Rules radio button for Import Type. This will delete the DIDs from the old domain. Click Start Import: 13. At the bottom of the list of Dial Translations, click on Import again: 14. Choose the file NewDIDs.csv and the Rules radio button for Import Type. Make sure that the Purge button is Off. This will add the DIDs to the new domain. Click Start Import: 15. Navigate back to Dial Planning -> Dial Translations 16. Select DID table from the list of Dial Translations: 17. Check that the DIDs have been moved from the old domain to the new domain. Note: Make sure you save the OldDIDs.csv and NewDIDs.csv files - you can always “undo” the move if necessary by repeating steps 11 through 16 with the files reversed. |
