Music-On-Hold

Audio files for MOH are organized as
  • An introduction named as moh-00.wav, which is played only once if it exist, and be skipped if it doesn't.
  • A cyclic sequence of files named as moh-01.wav, moh-02.wav to wav-<n>.wav, where 1 <= n <= 99.
    • When the playback finished with wav-<n>.wav, playback will resume with wav-01.wav.
    • The file sequence from moh-01.wav to moh-<n>.wav are all from the same directory, and there will be no mix-and-match of these sequence of MOH files from different directories
    • The 1st directory in the search sequence that contain the moh-01.wav file will be select as the directory to read the complete cyclic set of files.
    • The directory that store this cyclic sequence can be different from the directory that store the introdution moh-00.wav.
If there is only moh-00.wav, and no moh-01.wav, playback will stop after moh-00.wav, and silence afterward.

If there is no moh-00.wav, but here is moh-01.wav, playback will start from moh-01.wav

If it is necessary to prevent playing the moh-00.wav or moh-01.wav from the default MOH directory, dummy NULL moh-00.wav and moh-01.wav would need to be desposited in every MOH directory.
